In collaboration with the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai, the centre brings together Alkem Foundation’s commitment to advancing healthcare access and TMC’s expertise in cancer treatment and research.
With a treatment capacity of approximately 3,500–4,000 patients annually, the facility is designed to serve Bihar and its neighbouring regions. It is among the most advanced radiotherapy centres in eastern India, equipped with cutting-edge technologies including linear accelerators (LINAC), stereotaxy, CT simulators, organ motion management systems, and in-house brachytherapy with dedicated applicators.
“Alkem has its roots in Bihar and it is deeply meaningful for us to contribute back to the region. With cancer cases rising each year, the need for world-class facilities closer to home has never been greater. This centre will play a vital role in strengthening access to advanced cancer treatment, easing the patient journey, and creating a holistic model of care. Our collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre reflects our shared commitment to providing sustainable healthcare solutions,” said Madhurima Singh, Executive Director and Chairperson of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Committee, Alkem.

Alkem Foundation’s Broader Cancer Care Initiatives
The new centre complements Alkem Foundation’s ongoing efforts in cancer care, including community-based screening, awareness campaigns, and home-based palliative care models introduced with TMC in Bihar.
